Messy skirts

On arrival a pair where engaged in a rather heated debate about their relationship status. I was informed about this to keep an eye on them. It took probably 10 minutes and then she got her way. I could tell this by the way she was leading the make up bit. Very passionate embraces – I think he was good for the night.

My role of ensuring underages are not in was more important tonight, the authority that allows the serving of alcohol were doing spot checks. No problems – as expected.

Two very nice young ladies who have historically been ‘messy’ turned up for the second week in a row looking very neat and tidy. One explained to me that my comments last week to her about appearing tidy improved their morale and made them steer away from so much alcohol and drugs. I was gobsmacked and realised again that my words had huge impact on many individuals. It is extremely important to maintain a professional persona. I was so pleased with these ladies for the changes they made. Like the Gabriel Cilmi song “sweet about me”, when they were messy the lyrics that nothing sweet about me rang true, but now so much more tidy and focused.

Occasionally my eyebrows are raised when certain things happen. Near the end of the night a pleasant young lady was talking to another guy about going to the next venue, when she made some comment about seeing more and then bent over in front of me and lifted her skirt to reveal her underwear – stripes. I looked, then looked at him, he shrugged his shoulders, I looked at everyone else looking at me, went a shade of red and resumed my surveillance as best I could.
